Eligibility Criteria

The MM2H program has specific eligibility requirements based on the selected category. These include age, financial stability, and health conditions.

  1. Benefits of the MM2H Program (Participants in the MM2H program enjoy several advantages)
    1. Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) The program offers renewable visas:
      • Platinum: 20 years.
      • Gold: 15 years.
      • Silver: 10 years.
      • SEZ/SFZ: 5 years.
    2. Dependents: Applicants may include their spouse, unmarried children under 34, parents, and parents-in-law.
    3. No proof of offshore income required
    4. Tax Benefits: While no direct tax exemptions are offered under the updated program, participants may benefit from Malaysia’s tax policies depending on their financial circumstances.
    5. Flexibility: Platinum category participants are allowed to hire domestic helpers and conduct business or work in Malaysia.
  2. Age Requirements
    1. Platinum and Gold categories: Minimum age of 25
    2. Silver and SEZ/SFZ categories: Minimum age of 21
  3. Residency Requirements
    1. Minimum Stay:
      • Applicants aged 25–49: 90 cumulative days per year.
      • Applicants aged 50 and above: No minimum stay requirement.
  4. Financial & Property Requirements
    1. Applicants must demonstrate financial stability by meeting fixed deposit and property investment criteria. Property purchases for each MM2H is also subjected to state threshold. For example: if Silver Tier requires RM600,000 property minimum but state demands RM1,000,000 for foreigners, MM2H participants will be required to comply to the higher requirement:

      • Fixed Deposit: USD 1 million (~MYR 4.5 million).
      • Property Purchase: Minimum MYR 2 million.
    3. Gold Category:
      • Fixed Deposit: USD 500,000 (~MYR 2.25 million).
      • Property Purchase: Minimum MYR 1 million.
    4. Silver Category:
      • Fixed Deposit: USD 150,000 (~MYR 675,000).
      • Property Purchase: Minimum MYR 600,000.
    5. SEZ/SFZ Category:
      • Fixed Deposit:
        • Age>21 USD 65,000 (~MYR 292,500)
        • Age>50 USD 32,000 (~MYR 144,000)
  5. Investment and Financial Considerations
    1. Work/Business investment
      • Platinum Category are allowed to work and invest in Malaysia
      • Gold/Silver/SEZ/SFZ categories are not allowed to work and invest in Malaysia
    2. Fixed Deposits
      • Participants must open a fixed deposit account in Malaysia as part of the program requirements. Depending on the category, applicants may withdraw up to 50% of the deposit for approved expenses like property purchase, healthcare, and education.
    3. Property Investment
      • Participants can invest in Malaysian real estate, meeting the minimum purchase thresholds for their category and respective state requirements for property ownership by foreigners. Properties in SEZ/SFZ zones must be purchased directly from developers, with restrictions on selling within the first 10 years unless upgrading to a higher-value property.
  6. MM2H Fee Structure
    1. Government Participation Fees:
      • Platinum: MYR 200,000.
      • Gold: MYR 3,000.
      • Silver and SEZ/SFZ: MYR 1,000.
    2. Professional Fees:
      • Platinum: MYR 70,000.
      • Gold: MYR 55,000.
      • Silver and SEZ/SFZ: MYR 40,000.
    3. Additional costs include medical insurance, medical check-ups, and immigration pass fees.
  7. Other Consideration

MM2H Application Process with Daro International

Schedule a FREE 30 minutes Consultation online—either in-person or virtual—where the consultant explains the programme details and addresses your questions. Once you appoint DARO INTERNATIONAL as your licensed PVIP consultant, we will guide you through every step.

STEP 2

Pre-Screening

You will prepare the required documents, which our team will review for accuracy and completeness. This ensures that your application is well-positioned for a smooth approval process

STEP 3

Pre-submission Payment

Submit your original documents along with the initial processing fee. Daro International will then prepare and organise your application for formal submission.

STEP 4

Submission

DARO will submit your MM2H application with the Malaysian Immigration Department. The estimated processing time to receive conditional approval is around 2–3 months

STEP 5

Approval & Arrival

Applicant arrive in Malaysia to complete the following steps:
– Open a Malaysian bank account and place the required Fixed Deposit amount
– Undergo a medical check-up
– Purchase Malaysian medical insurance (required only if you are below 60)
– Pay the official government participation fee

STEP 6

Visa Endorsement & Collection

Finally, DARO International will coordinate with Immigration to endorse your PVIP visa. Once completed, your passport will be returned with the endorsed visa, officially granting you multiple entry residency visa in Malaysia
